Coppell Cowboys, A Special Olympics Texas Team


The mission of Special Olympics Texas is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in the sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.  Coppell Cowboys is a Special Olympics Texas team that strives toward the same mission.


Basketball Season

Good evening!

 
We're excited for another season of Basketball to begin and can't wait to start practicing with your athlete!  
 
We are in need of coaches!!! If you are interested in coaching, please reply to this email.  We will provide training prior to the season.  Also, we would like to offer cheer again this winter.  Please let me know if you are interested in being a cheer coach!
 
ALL Practices will begin the week of November 27th. Practices will run from then until the week of February 19th (excluding holidays & inclement weather days). Please see below for practice days and important area competition dates. 
Upon registering your athlete, a full schedule with important dates will be emailed to you. 
 
Practice Day: 
Tuesday
6:00pm-7:00pm Skills Team  (Ages:8 and under)
7:15pm-8:15pm Silver Team  (Ages: 9-middle school)
 
Thursday
6:00pm-7:00pm Red Team  (High School) Coach: Sean Hicks 
7:15pm-8:15pm Black Team  (Post High SchoolCoach: Cristina Larocco & Jake Mayes
 
Area Classifications: 
Saturday-February 10th, 2018 (Grand Prairie ISD)
 
Area Tournament: 
Friday & Saturday-February 23rd & 24th (Grand Prairie ISD)
